I have been visiting Nate for the past 6 months-for deep tissue massage. Nate is an awesome massage therapist. He is very attentive and a good listener. Nate is very professional, and tries his best to make you comfortable. He focuses on your problem areas. I look forward to my appointments with Nate. I will continue to schedule massages and will recommend him to my friends/colleagues.

Release Muscle Tension

Repetitive motions and overworking a muscle are some of the main contributors to knots and tight tissues. This all happens gradually over time whether you play a sport, workout, or have to do repetitive motions for a job. Massage is the perfect way to release these areas of tension so that you can continue doing the things you love on a day to day basis. Deeper pressures that target specific areas needing work are especially beneficial for releasing muscle imbalances. It will leave your body feeling rejuvenated, less painful, looser, and with more range of motion.

Stress Relief

Stress and Emotions are stored in the tissues of our bodies. When we are stressed our bodies release hormones that keep your nervous system in a more alert state. If too many of our stress hormones are released it can  build up and be stored in muscle tissue causing it to tense and tighten. In humans,  stress can affect all tissue but most commonly the neck, shoulders, and lower back. Releasing tight muscles that are wound up from stress, can have a significant positive affect on your mental health.

Headaches

Stress is very often stored in muscles of the neck and shoulders. Many of these muscles attach to your skull and then into other bones of your neck and shoulder. When they are tight it creates constant tension that can lead to migraines. Releasing the muscles and some of the stress being stored has a huge positive impact on people that suffer from migraines and headaches.

Improve Immune System

Many of the toxins that are stored in the body are released through massage. By stimulating the circulatory system, your body is much more efficient with getting rid of waste products and transporting important byproducts to other cells of the body. Massage can reduce amount of stress hormones in the body thereby reducing the amount of free radicals in the body that may be contributing to weakened immune systems. In a controlled study, people receiving massage showed increase in their white blood cell count comparatively to people that didn't receive regular massages. This helps support the benefits of massage for improving the immune system as a whole.

Improved Circulation

Massage is one of the best stimulants for the circulatory system as it promotes blood flow to muscles targeted during therapy. This can aid in promoting quicker recovery after workouts as well as relieving areas of the body that may not be receiving as much blood flow due to sedentary lifestyles.  Sitting can cut off circulation so parts of the body that are farthest from the heart receive  weaker blood flow. Massage works by increasing the blood flow to areas farthest from the heart, resulting in better health for your bodies' tissue as a whole.

Fatigue

Massage helps alleviate stress and reduces the amount of tension stored in the body. This has a direct affect on the quality of sleep you get at night. Muscle tightening can also cause uncomfortable symptoms that may affect sleeping patterns. For example, side sleepers often wake up with numb fingers. Releasing tight chest, shoulder, and upper back muscles can bring the body back into a natural posture releasing tension from the body which can help prepare the body for a more rejuvenated sleep.
